Another unforgettable day for Yuvraj Singh and their team mates who performed splendidly well both with bat and bowl to outclass their opponent to give their seventh loss in the tournament. Nothing seems to be gone well for Rahul Dravid in this match except a toss, which he has won and decided to bat first.
However the batting department of Royal Challengers Bangalore once again failed and they only manage 143/8 in their quota of 20 overs. Chasing a comfortable total of 144 for victory, James Hopes (27 runs of 19 balls) and Mr. Consistent Shaun Marsh (74* runs of 51 balls) gave their team a perfect start by putting 66 runs for 1st wicket.
Luke Pomesbach who was playing his first game also didn’t so any mercy to the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers as he smashed 34 runs of just 24 balls to guide his team to comfortable 9 wickets win. S.Marsh also played some aggressive stroke and picked up 21 runs of D.Styen 2nd over which showed what talent his got. So far he is averaging more than 80.00 in this tournament and if he continued to play like this then he is not far from getting the orange cap award.
Earlier Royal Challengers Bangalore once again struggled badly with the bat and kept loosing wicket at regular intervals. Misbah-Ul-Haq did manage to get into some groove to turn the fortune in the Banaglore favors; however he was unlucky as he got out hit-wicket for 21 runs of 8 balls on the bowling of S.Sreesanth. Once he got out Royal Challengers struggled to get going and manage just 143/8 in their 20 overs.
Mark Boucher (39 runs of 31 balls), Rahul Dravid (29 runs of 27 balls) and V.Kohli (21 runs of 22 balls) did manage some runs but it was not enough to challenge the Kings XI Punjab.
S.Marsh was declared Man of the Match.
