India 20-20 Squad for World Cup 2007 (M.S. Dhoni to lead Indian Cricket Team)

As Expected the Jharkhand Express Mahendra Singh Dhoni named Indian Cricket Team captain to lead India in twenty-twenty World Cup to be held in South Africa and Yuvraj Singh named India Vice captain for 20-20 world cup.

The Indian cricket team member (Virendra Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Harbhajan Singh) who has overlooked by selectors in on going test Series against England is also included in 15 member squad for 20-20 world cup.

The squad for both the Twenty20 World Cup and the seven-match One Day series against England was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Niranjan Shah.

S. Sreesanth after his poor show in on going test series has been dropped from 20-20 squad while Pacer Zaheer Khan has been given rest for 20-20 world cup.

Munaf Patel after getting ignored against South Africa and Ireland series finally making comeback in the Indian side. He has been picked for Seven match ODI series to be played against England.

Since trio Sachin,Saurav and Rahul was not in the list of 30 probable so it was easy task for selector to announce the team for 20-20 world cup.

Indian squad for Twenty20 World Cup: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (C), Yuvraj Singh (Vice-captain), Virender Sehwag, Dinesh Karthik, Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Joginder Sharma, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, S Sreesanth, Irfan Pathan, Rudra Pratap Singh, Rohit Sharma, Harbhajan Singh and Ajit Agarkar,.

Indian squad for seven ODIs against England: Rahul Dravid (C), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Vice-captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Dinesh Karthik Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma, Ramesh Powar, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Piyush Chawla, Rudra Pratap Singh and Ajit Agarkar.
