Zaheer khan outstanding performance with the ball brings India close to victory in the second test at Nottingham, Trentbridge. He has his best bowling spell today in this series picking up 5/75 in the England
second inning.

Captain Michael Vaughan's spirited century was overshadowed by Zaheer's demolition job as England faltered after being in control to concede the advantage back to the Indians, leaving them with 73 runs to win the second Test.

At the close of day IV Indian already knocked 10 run out of 73 and they only need 63 more runs to reach the memorable victory with the all 10 wickets in hand.

Earlier England resumed from 43/0 with both the not out batsman Andrew Strauss and A. Cook trying to play cautiously and patiently. Zaheer Khan has other idea when he picked up Aliastar Cook lbw in his second over of the day, leaving England at 49/1.

The loss of Cook brought England skipper Michael Vaughan to the crease and together with Andrew Strauss he took his team to 129/1 at the lunch break.

However Soon after Lunch Indian Pace bowling leader Zaheer Khan struck again and tis time he got the wicket of Andrew Strauss when he was on 55 and England at 130/2. Kevin Pietersen arrival to the crease is most heartedly welcomed by beamer and bouncers from S.Sreesanth and R.P Singh. After putting 45 for the third wicket he was out lbw by the bowl of the day bowled by R.P Singh. He was not offering the shot on the bowl which comes back sharply and looks to hit middle and off, Simon taufel has no hesitation in giving that out.

Paul Collingwood joined Vaughan in the middle following Pietersen's dismissal, as the duo managed to guide England to tea, safe at 221 for three.

Soon after Tea Michael Vaughan reach his magnificent played century when he hit Kumble for four in the cover region boundary. England looking to getting back into this match with solidity of Paul Collingwood and attacking Cricket of Michael Vaughan but Zaheer Khan shattered the England hopes when he bowled England Captain Michael Vaughan around his legs when he was on 124 and remain England at 287/4.

Ian bell also don’t have an Idea of the ball comes back from outside off stump and found plumb lbw in the saem over of Zaheer and 3 balls earlier the score which looks at 287/3 was suddenly change to 287/5. Now it’s up to Paul Collingwood and Matt Prior but again R.P Sing get the ball to nip back in and uprooted the middle stump of Prior to leave England at 304/6.

Zaheer was back in the wicket taking act soon as he got rid of Collingwood, who fell for a valiant 63 from 133 balls.

England's end neared as Anil Kumble snared the wickets of Matthew Prior and Monty Panesar, as being bowled out would give India the opportunity to wrap up the game on Day V.

Needing just 73 runs to win this test match and take an unbeaten lead of 1-0 in the series Indian opener started well. At the close of 4th day play Indians were 10/0 and they need just 63 more runs to register a memorable win at TrentBridge.
