India need 244 more runs to Win first Test at Lords – India Vs England 1st test Match Day IV

At stumps on day 4 Indians were 137/3 and need 243 more runs to register win at Lord’s on other hand England needs another seven wickets to beat India. It’s very hard for Indians to beat England if they have to beat England then someone need to bat till End of fifth day of Play. India already lost their Captain Rahul Dravid who was little unlucky to be given out lbw on the bowling of debutant Chris Tremlett. Sachin Tendulkar dream has then shattered by Monty Panesar. It’s all up to likes of Ganguly, Laxman and M.S Dhoni to either save this match or win it from here.

On fourth day match was played under beautiful sun light with no rain interruption or bad lights stoppage. Resuming from overnight score of 77/2 England strated very cautiously with their Captain Michael Vaughan and Kevin Pieterson. They played Zaheer and Sreesanth watchfully but tehse two bowler don’t able to break this partnership so Rahul dravid decide to give R.P Singh a try and he was accurate with his line and length from the word go. He was finally rewarded for his accurate line and length when he bowled Michael Vaughan when he was on 30 and England score was on 102. R.P. Singh got another wicket when he bowl well directed bouncer to Paul Collingwood in his very next over and reduce England to 114/3.

Ian Bell arrive to the crease and manage to negotiate some good delivery from Zaheer and R.P Singh but he was also bowled by R.P Singh when he was on 9 and England reduce to 132/5. At this stage Indian looking to take firm grip into this match but Indians have forgotten that the man of the day is still out there in the middle Kevin Pietersen. After lunch Kevin Pietersen played like a champion and hit all Indian bowlers to all corner of the ground and raise England runs in quick succession to 250 with the lead of over 340.

With all the bowlers are taking beating from Kevin Pietersen, Rahul Dravid finally gave the bowls to Indian most experience fast bowler Zaheer Khan and he didn’t disappoint his captain. He brake the most dangerous partnership (119) of the inning by dismissing Matt Prior caught by M.S. Dhoni and on very next ball he bowled Chris Tremlett to bring India right back into this match.

With England tail exposed Indian bowler rapped up the England proceeding very quickly but England had already taken stiff lead of 379.

R.P Singh taken 59/5 and K. Pietersen was finally out on 134.

Chasing a target of 380 Indians started well with Dinesh karthik and Wasim Jaffer both batting positively. At the score of 38 India looses their first wicket when Jaffer got out on the bowling of Anderson. Rahul Dravid hit first ball he faces to boundary but few ball laters when he was on 9 got out lbw on the bowling of Chris Tremlett.

Sachin Tendulkar arrival was cheered by Lord’s crowd but he also didn’t last too longer and got out lbw on the bowling of Panesaer leaving India on 84/3. But thanks to Dinesh karthik (56 not out) and Saurav Ganguly (36 not out) who manage to keep score board moving and without any further damage at stumps move India scores to 137/3.
