After a nail-biting finish in the first test match at Mohali, Indian team is quite confident of beating Australia in the 2nd test match to be played in M.Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore. In last fifteen years India is yet to register a win at this venue but they are quite confident of making history. Indian Captain M.S. Dhoni and his men, fresh from the one-wicket win in the opening Test in Mohali, go into the match with a psychological edge but many injury problems to deal with. Ishant Sharma and Gautam Gambhir is already ruled out of the second test with V.V.S. Laxman star of the first test match is yet to recover from back problem so India has few concerns before going into the all important game. However they have slightly ahead of Australia as they are leading the series by 1-0 so pressure will be on Australians to win this match and level the series 1-1. Australia will miss the service of D.Bollinger who bowled splendid spell during second inning of 1st test match to almost snatch a victory for the Australians but at the wrong time he got injured and unable to ball a single bowl in the rest of the innings. Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund, who performed well in the recently held Irani Trophy tournament, and Jaydev Unadkat have been included in the team in place of Gambhir and Ishant but it remains to be seen whether they would actually find a place in the playing XI. With cloudy and hazy condition in Bangalore, the team winning the toss in likely to bat first and put pressure on the team batting first by taking an early wickets. However it remains to be seen how Bangalore wickets will play. It’s expected to be on slower side that means once again stroke making will be difficult. Both teams are all set to produce another cracker of encounter regardless of injury concerned. Likely Playing XI for both Teams (Match is Schedule to begin at 09:30 AM India Time) India Squad: Virendra Sehwag, M Vijay, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (Captain & WK), Harbhajan Singh , Zaheer Khan, Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha. Australia Squad: Shane Watson, Simon Katich, Ricky Ponting (Captain), Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Marcus North, Tim Paine (WK), Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, Peter George. |
