In the 2010 edition of CL twenty20 there will be total 10 teams will participate in the tournament. Three from India (Chennai Super King, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore), two teams from South Africa (Lions and Warriors), two teams from Australia (South Australia and Victoria), one team from New Zealand, Sri Lanka and West Indies (Central Districts, Wayamba and Guyana).

In 2010 Champions League each team is divided into two groups five in each group, top two from each group will advance to play the semi finals of Airtel Champions.
