Delhi Daredevils who lost their last four encounter is in full stress and they can’t afford to loose the game against Deccan Chargers otherwise they will fall in the zone from where it will be hard for them to make it to last four.
On the other hand A.Gilchrist also wants to prove the points since their team also not performed well in the tournament so far as expected from them with big guns like H.Gibbs, R.Sharma, S.afridi, S.Styris and Gilly himself.
On current form it might appear that Deccan are already out of the tournament, but if they win the rest of their matches and other results go their way, they can still make a push for a semi-final spot. For that to happen, though, Deccan must significantly spruce up their act - they were woeful in the field during their previous match, against Kolkata.
With VVS Laxman ruled out of the rest of the campaign, it will be quite a task for Gilchrist to re-energise his troops.
So far Deccan Chargers big star failed miserably and that is the cause of concerned fro them. From Delhi Daredevils points of view their top order batsman needs to fire in this match if they don’t want to repeat what happened in their last four games.
Player to Watch
A.Glichrist Vs G.Mcgrath: Gilly may miss the scoring in the last encounter against G.Mcgrath but this time he doesn’t want to repeat the same and will look to score some quick runs on top.
Virendra Sehwag and G.Gambhir: Both havn’t fired in the last four games and they are due for big ones.
Due to rain in the air in Delhi, pitch may provide some swing with new ball otherwise it will be full of runs and side batting first may look to score 190 plus to feel more secure.
Delhi Daredevils teams look wobbled in their batting department so they may look to bring all rounder R.Bhatia in place of Y.Mahesh, rest of the team will be same which played against Kolkata Knight Riders. Deccan Chargers on the other hand may bring S.Afridi in place of C.Vaas whose bowling looks ordinary in the game against KKR.
Likely Playing XI for both the teams (Match will start from India time)
