India set 500 target for England – India Vs England Third Test at Oval – Day IV

England Started day4 with one wicket left in their first inning. Chris Tremlet and Montey Paneaser batted with maturity to get England score to 345 before Anil Kumble getting Montey Paneaser out lbw in the eighth over of the day to pass Glen Mcgrath (563 wickets). Now Anil Kumble is the third Highets wicket taker in test cricket after Shane Warne and M.Muralitharan. Both Montey and Tremlet put 40 runs for the last wicket.

When England bowled out they are still trail by 319 runs but Rahul dravid decided to bat again with the cloudy weather around and bowls are moving and seeming of the wickets. At one stage his decision are looking very terrible when Indians were 11/3. But He himself stood like a wall at one end with Sourav Ganguly playing inning of his life with some beautiful off drive.

Wasim Jaffer was out leg before to James Anderson for nought as India lost their first wicket with 10 runs on the board. Chris Tremlett struck from the other end to bat the wicket of Dinesh Karthik for eight to make it 10-2.

India slumped to 11-3 within minutes when Anderson bowled Sachin Tendulkar for 1 as the batsman played on to his stumps.

However Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly put 65 runs for fourth wicket. Before Saurav got out of Collinwood on 57 runs. After his dismissal Rahul Dravid also departed soon on 12 runs of 96 balls (89/5) on the bowling of Paul Collingwood. Now Indians needed another briskly inning of M.S. Dhoni and in trying to do so he was out for 36 runs. Indians finally declare their inning at 180/6 with the lead of 499 runs.

With 20 over left in a day England opener came out to bat with full determination and played each and every Indian bowlers with their merit. They ended 4th day on 56 witout loss needing 444 more runs to level the series. On other hand India needs another 10 wicket to wrap up the series by 2-0.
