Twenty20 World Cup 2010 – West Indies look forward for good start against Ireland

twenty20 world cup 2010The home team West Indies will start their twenty20 world cup 2010 campaign against the weakest team of the tournament Ireland. West Indies Captain looked quite confident ahead of their first game and he even went on to say that his team is quite capable of winning the tournament.

With the return of R.Sarwan and Jerome Taylor, West Indies side looks in good balance. They have quite a few match winners in the face of Captain Chris Gayle, K.Pollard, D.Bravo, S.Chanderpaul, R.Sarwan and J.Taylor.

Last year they have reached the semi final stage but failed to deliver the knockout punch and thrashed out of the competition but this time with the home condition and crowd support they are looking confident of going all the way till end.

Ireland after arriving in West Indies has failed to win a single game and with the loss against Afghanistan they have done more harm to their reputation and confidence.

If Ireland would like to put any good show in this year world twenty20 they need outstanding performance from their captain William Porterfield, Niall O'Brien and Trent Johnston.

West Indies on the other hand will once again rely on their captain Chris Gayle to provide good start and he is expected to play key role in West Indies success and failure in this tournament.

Likely Playing XI for both Teams (Match is Schedule to begin at 2:30 AM India Time)

West Indies Squad: Chris Gayle (Captain), Andre Fletcher, S.Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan, D.Bravo, K.Pollard, Denesh Ramdin (WK), Kemar Roach, Darren Sammy, Jerome Taylor, S.Benn, N.Miller.

Ireland Squad: William Porterfield (Captain), Peter Connell, Trent Johnston, Alex Cusack, Andre Botha, Niall O'Brien, Paul Stirling, Gary Wilson (WK), Andrew White, John Mooney, George Dockrell.
