There will be total 60 matches will be played from this edition of IPL, one game is increased as compared to last two edition of IPL twenty20 to decide the third team for the CL t20. The game will be played between loser of 1st semi final and 2nd semi final to decide the third qualifier for champions twenty20 league 2010. The tournament will run from 12th of March to April 25th 2010. As usual the number of participating team will be eight. Each team will play with each other twice (total 56 number of league matches will be played between eight teams) and top four teams having maximum number of points will qualify for the semi finals to be played on 21st and 22nd April in M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Finals of IPL twenty20 2010 will be played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on 25th of April. The tournament will end five days before the World twenty20 to be held in West Indies.
