IPL 2010 T20 Schedule and Match results

The new venue will host only few matches of IPL. There are also few changes in the rule of strategic timeout for IPL twenty20 2010. The strategic timeout is reduced from seven minutes break to five minutes. The timeout - which will be mandatory for both sides - will be split into two breaks of equal length with the bowling team opting for it between overs 6-10, and the batting team allowed to choose between overs 11-16.

There will be total 60 matches will be played from this edition of IPL, one game is increased as compared to last two edition of IPL twenty20 to decide the third team for the CL t20. The game will be played between loser of 1^st semi final and 2^nd semi final to decide the third qualifier for champions twenty20 league 2010.

The tournament will run from 12^th of March to April 25^th 2010. As usual the number of participating team will be eight. Each team will play with each other twice (total 56 number of league matches will be played between eight teams) and top four teams having maximum number of points will qualify for the semi finals to be played on 21^st and 22^nd April in M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Finals of IPL twenty20 2010 will be played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on 25^th of April. The tournament will end five days before the World twenty20 to be held in West Indies.
