Kohli ton helped India to beat Bangladesh by Six Wickets

Virat Kohli continued his superb form with the bat by hitting a superb unbeaten 102 runs of 95 balls as India thrashed Bangladesh by six wickets in the last league game of Idea Cup 2010.

With this win, India top the points table with 13 points while Sri LankaIndia will take on Sri Lanka in the Finale of the Tri-Series on Wednesday. ranked two in the points table. Now

Virat Kohli hit 11 fours in India successful run chase of 248 runs for victory. Gautam Gambhir (41 runs of 46 balls), Dinesh Karthik (34 runs of 39 balls) and M.S.Dhoni (32 runs of 35 balls) were the other major contributor during run chase.

With this knock, Birat Kohli became the leading run scorer in this tournament with aggregate of 273 runs at an average of 91 while Kumar Sangakara is behind him aggregated 219 runs from 4 games.

Earlier, Indian Captain M.S.Dhoni won the toss as usual decided to bowl first. Once again Indian bowlers look in good shape and rhythm having reduced Bangladesh to 95/5 in the 24th over. At this stage Bangladesh was looking in the dire state but thank to century partnership of 106 runs between Shakib Al Hasan (85 runs of 97 balls) and Mahmudullah (64* runs of 80 balls) Bangladesh manage to put a comparative total of 247/6 in their 50 overs.

Shakib Al Hasan struck eight boundaries and one six before being caught by Dhoni off Ashish Nehra. Mahmudullah hit five boundaries and one six in his unbeaten knock.

For the sixth consecutive time in the tournament the side batting second ended as a winner. And this is an indication of what to expect in the Final.

Virat Kohli was declared Player of the Match for his superb unbeaten century (102 runs of 95 balls).
