India v Bangladesh 3rd Match – India look to bounce back against the home team

India who arrives in Bangladesh with high hopes was shattered and hurted with the loss in the last game against Sri Lanka will now have good opportunity to come back strongly by beating the home team in the 3rd game of Idea Cup triangular series.

Having said that, it will be not easy for the Indians if they have to bowl in the evening. The mantra for winning the game seems to be win the toss, win the match. M.S.Dhoni after the loss to Sri Lanka requested the tournament organizer for an early start but it could take affect only from the next game. So somehow Dhoni needs to sort out their problems for this game.

Their depth bowling looks really wayward in the last game which costed them a game against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was in trouble with five batsmen back in the pavilion needing another 54 runs of 39 balls but some very poor bowling and wet condition helped Sri Lanka to achieve the target with ease.

India also needs to sort out their batting problem and need consistent performance from their batsmen to get going in this tournament. In the absence of Sachin, Indian batting will heavily rely on Gambhir, Sehwag, Yuvraj and Dhoni.

Bangladesh on the other hand needs some support from their middle order batsman since they have the fire power at the top and towards the end. Their bowling looks more settled with Captain Shakib al Hasan in good form.

The toss will once again be crucial. With cold weather, thick fog cover and little sunshine here, the side which wins the toss will have no hesitation in opting to bat first. Bangladesh will be expected to be far more potent if they bowl first.

Watch out for

Shakib Al Hasan: He has already done enough justice for his side and himself and that’s why he is at 2nd position in the ICC ODI ranking table for the bowlers. He is one of the finest cricketer produced by Bangladesh, he can not only take wickets for his team but can also make useful runs whenever his team required from him. It will be interesting to watch how he delivers against better opposition like Sri Lanka and India in the tri-angular series.

Gautam Gambhir: His performance against Bangladesh is just amazing. He has scored two centuries with 401 runs in six games. He might have flopped in the first game but he is capable of turning things around in quick time.

Pitch & Condition

The Pitch at Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur will be the same as used in the last two games. However the toss will once again play a crucial role in deciding the results of the game. Team winning the toss will once again field first. So far team has chased the target in excess of 260 quite easily in the night, so any score below 300 will be not enough considering the dew factor.

Teams

India is likely to retain the same playing XI which played against Sri Lanka in the last game.

Bangladesh is likely to bring experienced Syed Rasel in place of last game debutant Shafiul Islam whose performance in the last game was not good at all with the ball.

Likely Playing XI for both Teams (Match is Schedule to begin at 14:00 PM India Time)

India Squad: V.Sehwag, G.Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, M.S.Dhoni (Captain & WK), Suresh Raina, Ravinder Jadeja, H.Singh, S.Sreesanth, A.Nehra, Z.Khan.

Bangladesh Squad: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Mohammad Ashraful, Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Raqibul Hasan, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim (WK), Naeem Islam, Abdur Razzak, Rubel Hossain, Syed Rasel
