India v West Indies 5th ODI Chennai – India look to extend their lead

India who already wrap up the series during 4th ODI in Indore because of record breaking 219 runs from Virendra Sehwag look forward to extend their series lead to 4-1 during the last One Day Internationals at Chennai. With series already in the bag India look forward to test their bench strength.

Irfan Pathan who is not part of Indian squad since last few years is likely to be included in the Playing XI at Chennai. With series lost West Indies on the other hand also try to give the chance to other member of the squad. Vinay Kumar who already performed well in the first four matches may be rested to test Irfan Pathan in last and final ODI at Chennai.

Ajinkya Rahane who performed well during England series is also heating the bench in the series against West Indies but is likely to get game in Chennai. In that case Virat Kohli may be rested to test the Rahane in middle order.

Though the series has been lost, West Indies skipper Darren Sammy said his side was not short of motivation to leave the Indian shores on a winning note. "We think we can still win matches. We will approach the game in the morrow like the way we do every game to remain motivated," he said.

West Indies team who has manage only one win and one drawn on this tour would like to end the tour on brighter note. But they need to somehow stop the run flow during first ten overs with Gautam Gambhir and Virendra Sehwag already found their form back with superb display of batting at run-feast Indore wicket.

West Indies bowlers need to tighten their line and length to get Sehwag and Gambhir out early to put pressure on Indian middle order.

All in all the game will be Interesting from Indian as well as West Indies perspective.
