India v England twenty20 Old Trafford – India look for there first official win on tour

After thrashing India by 4-0 in recently concluded test series, England will be flying high on confidence to beat India in only twenty20 and five match ODI series. However England knows that at presently India is world champion and they can not take them lightly as they have shown with the three win out of three tour games they have players in last one week.

Both teams will have few new faces in their lineup, just on the eve of twenty20 international India lost there another player because of Injury and that will be big blow for them after loosing several players already. Gautam Gambhir who hit his head on ground while going for catch in 4th test is now officially ruled out of the England tour.

BCCI has not announced any replacement for Gambhir yet, so Rahul Dravid is certain to make his debut against England for his 1st twenty20 international.

Indian batting in the absence of Gambhir will look thin however in twenty20 no one is strongest team, however on paper England look superior team. In bowling also they have strong attack than the Indians.

India batting will heavily depend on Dravid, Kohli and Rohit Sharma others will try to play around them. In bowling Praveen Kumar will have to take the responsibility of taking wickets earlier in the absence of Zaheer and Ishant Sharma.

Munaf Patel is also certain to earn his first cap on tour after sitting on the bench for first half of the tour.

On the other hand, England's batting looks formidable even in the absence of Ian Bell and ODI skipper Alastair Cook. Both are not part of the Twenty20 squad. But they have enough firepower in the form of Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan. On the bowling front, skipper Stuart Broad and Tim Bresnan - who tore India apart in the Test series - will try to prolong India's misery with the bat.

Likely Playing XI for both teams (Match is schedule to begin at 22:30 PM India Time)

England is likely to go with yet another new opener Alex Hales and Craig Kieswetter. The bowling unit is likely to have same familiar faces with the exception of Jade Dernbach who have performed well in the county season this year.

On the other hand India is all set to open the inning with Rahul Dravid who will make his twenty20 debut. The middle order will rely on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli while Raina and Dhoni will have responsibility for the slog overs. In the bowling department Dhoni is likely to go with two spinners and three pacers.

India Squad: Parthiv Patel (WK), Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, M.S.Dhoni (Captain & WK), A.Mishra, Praveen Kumar, R.P.Singh, Munaf Patel and R.Vinay Kumar.

England Squad: Craig Kieswetter (WK), Alex Hales, Kevin Pietersen, Eoin Morgan, Ravi Bopara, Jos Buttler, Samit Patel, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad (Captain), Graeme Swann, Jade Dernbach.
