India will play their first ODI against West Indies after becoming the World Champions that too without the service of some of there key players like Gambhir, Sehwag, Sachin, Dhoni, Yuvraj and Zaheer. This must be co-incidence that India after 1983 World Cup win they have played against same team and got thrashed out 5-0 in ODI series and now again they are playing against same team but result can result be different with the Indian squad in hand? Only time will tell. However India started the tour with good win over West Indies in only twenty20 played at same venue where they will again face each other to kick off the ODI campaign. India bowling looks more solid and has more variety to taste the West Indies batting lineup. That is how they won the twenty20 game on Saturday. In batting department the responsibility will be on Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli the two senior batsmen in the present squad. How much India will score depend on how much these two will contribute to the scores. West Indies will be also boosted by the return of Dwayne Bravo and K.Pollard in the ODI squad. Both players were not featured in the twenty20 game. How much difference they will make to the vulnerable looking West Indies batting lineup its only time will tell. West Indies struggled to play Indian spinner during the twenty20 and they somehow need to sort out the things quickly to challenge the World Champions. Likely Playing XI for both teams (Match is schedule to begin at 18:30 PM India Time) India Squad: Parthiv Patel (WK), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, S Badrinath, Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina (Captain), Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, R Ashwin, Praveen Kumar, Ishant Sharma.
