Paul Collingwood named England Twenty20 Captain

Paul Collingwood may not got chance to play in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils but England Selectors named him as England Captain to lead the side in the twenty20 World Cup.

After too much guessing work now it has been confirmed that England cricket team will be lead by Paul Collingwood in the world twenty20 to be played from June 5th 2009. Graham Napier who made his first IPL appearance against Kolkata Knight Riders for Mumbai Indians also included in the 15 member squad along with Robert key, Eoin Morgan, James Foster.

Morgan, the Ireland and Middlesex batsman, earns his first England call-up as does Napier while Foster and Key return after long periods out of the international scene. Foster's recall for the first time since 2002 means there is no place for Matt Prior in the latest change to the wicket keeping position.

Rob Key has been awarded the place in the squad because of his excellent performance since last two years in the domestic twenty20. He is very talented and will give England a new opening pair.

Samit Patel and Matt Prior are two players who were unable to make it to the final squad.

England twenty20 World Cup Squad: Paul Collingwood (Capt), Ravi Bopara, Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Andrew Flintoff, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Eoin Morgan, James Foster, Robert Key, Graham Napier, Luke Wright, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Ryan Sidebottom, Graeme Swann.
