Yuvraj Singh all-round performance helped India to beat England by 54 runs in 2nd ODI at Indore

Yuvraj Singh manage to hit second consecutive century at Indore and then picked up four crucial wickets to helped his team to maintain their winning tempo going by beating the visitors by 54 runs in 2nd ODI at Indore.

Chasing a stiff target of 293 runs England lost their class player I. Bell who is run out brilliantly by S.Raina for 1 runs. M.Prior (38 runs of 64 balls) and O.Shah (58 runs of 78 balls) steadied England inning by putting 96 run partnership for 2nd wicket. But Yuvraj Singh dismissed both batsmen in quick succession to peg back England.

However A.Flintoff (43 runs of 35 balls) and K.Pietersen (33 runs of 49 balls) both looked in prime form. They took third Powerplay between 32 and 37th over. They have scored 59 runs in the third Powerplay and at this stage they were looking to achieve the target quite comfortably. But once again Yuvraj dismissed both the batters in same over to get the match in the favor of Indians. England finally bundled out for 238 in 47 overs.

Earlier Indian Captain M.S.Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first. However Indian team after superb win at Rajkot was in trouble when S.Braod removed three top order batters. India lost three quick wickets for just 29 runs on the board in 7.3 overs. With V.Sehwag (1 runs of 4balls), S.Raina (4 runs of 9 balls) and R.Sharma (3 runs of 13 balls) back in the pavilion.

However Gautam Gambhir (70 runs of 76 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (118 runs of 122 balls) put on 134 runs for the fourth wicket to bring back their team on track after early jolt. Gautam Gambhir played really well before he got out bowled by K.Pietersen for 70 runs.

Yuvraj Singh also played well and now with two consecutive centuries under his belt is firm contender to take place of S.Ganguly in test side.

Yuvraj Singh was finally dismissed by S.Braod for 118 runs. But after his dismissal Yusuf Pathan, who is celebrating his 26th birthday hit maiden half century to helped India post 293 runs target to England in 2nd ODI at Indore.

Yusuf Pathan hit four huge sixes and two boundaries to score 50 runs of 29 balls. India finally closes their inning on 292/9 in 50 overs. S.Broad was successful bowler for England who picked up four crucial wickets by conceding 55 runs in his 10 over spell.

Yuvraj Singh was declared Man of the Match for his brilliant 118 runs and bowling figure of 4/28.
