Ganguly and Dravid out of ODI Squad for Commonwealth Traingular series

Indian selectors on Sunday announced 16 member squad for Commonwealth triangular series to be played in Australia. Sri Lanka will be other team to be participates in this triangular series including India and Australia. India will also play one T20 International against Australia on 1st

of February at Melbourne Cricket Ground (M.C.G).

As Expected the Jharkhand Express Mahendra Singh Dhoni is retained as Captain for ODI and T20. Yuvraj Singh as usual remained India Vice captain.

However the most shocking decision taken by selectors was exclusion of Saurav Ganguly from 16 member squad.

U.P lads Suresh Raina finally able to impress the selectors with his brilliant form in Domestic Cricket and make it to 16 member squad. S.Sreesanth who misses four match test series against Australia due to shoulder injury also included in the team.

Delhi Player Ishant Sharma who impressed the selector with his fine bowling performance in Test Series against Australia also retained in the ODI squad.

Indian squad for Twenty20 and Triangular Series: Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh (VC), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (C), Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, S.Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, Piyush Chawla, Rudra Pratap Singh, Ishant Sharma.

Reserve Players: Yusuf Pathan, Manoj Tiwary and Munaf Patel.
