Indian team played an outstanding cricket to beat South Africa by six wickets in 3 match series in Ireland to clinch the series by 2-1. In a rain affected game Indian captain Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to field first. It was rain affected game so it was redused to 31 Overs per side. Indian bowlers specially Ajit Agarkar who was returning to the team after suffering from Viral fever bowled brilliantly and give India breakthrough in his very first over. In his next over he again got a big wicket of Kallis bowled him out with beautiful out swinger. Ajit Agarkar is well supported by Zaheer Khan, R.P Sing and Saurav Ganguly with good line and length. At one stage South African were 28/4 in th 13th over. Thanks to Herschell Gibs(56 of 67 balls) and Justin Kemp (61 of 61 balls) who put 99 run partnership for the fifth wickets and hit sum blasty shots at the end of innings to give them formidable total of 148 in their allotted 31 overs.
Indian batting also started in the similar fashion when M. Nitini got Sachin Tendulkar in his first over when 11 runs on the board. Gautam Gambhir arrives to the crease after dismissal of Tendulkar and he also didn’t last too long and got himself out when Indians were 20/1. Indians are struggling at that stage but Ganguly also departs for 18 (38/3). But previous match hero Yuvraj Singh and Captain Rahul Dravid build the partnership for Indians for fourth wicket. In the process Rahul Dravid got himself run out for well played 36 when Indians needed another 40 runs to win 39 balls. But Dhoni (14 not out of 11 balls) and Yuvraj Singh (61 of 88 balls) without any further damage get India to home and win the series for the Indians.
Yuvraj Singh was declared Man Of The Match. Sachin Tendulkar declared Man of The Series. Rahul Dravid Clinch the Future Cup for India.
