Habibula Bashar and Shahriar Nafees Axe from ODI Team

Bangladesh selector axed former captain Habibul Bashar and opener Shahriar Nafees from the One Day side which is to be played against Sri Lanka.

After the dismal performance in ongoing Test Series Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to sack these two players from ODI squad. Bangladesh struggle to face pace attack of Sri Lankans and spin magic of M. Muralithanran and they are on trot of losing the three match Test series by 3-0.

Along with these two player wicketkeeper Khaled Mashud, batsman Rajin Saleh and paceman Mohammad Sharif, will return home from Sri Lanka when the Test series ends, the BCB said in a statement.

The three match ODI series against Lankans will start from 20th July. Bangladesh have to proof they are down but not out in the coming series after there dismal performance in Test series.

They have performed really well in World Cup but after that they are struggling to fight with the Lankans, there main area of concerned is batting.

Bangladesh cricket board announced 15 Member Squad for the upcoming ODI cricket series is as follow: Mohammad Ashraful (captain), Mashrafe Mortaza (vice captain), Aftab Ahmed, Tamim Iqbal, Javed Omar, Mehrab Hossain jnr, Tushar Imran, Saqibul Hasan, Shahadat Hossain, Syed Rasel, Mohammad Rafique, Abdur Razzak, Farhad Reza, Mahmudullah Riad and Mushfiqur Rahim.
