All England players gave their 100% in the field and showed that they are playing to win on the other hand Pakistan made too much mistakes in the field dropping as many as four simple catches. They have also conceded 25 runs in the field due to their bad fielding effort.

The England win was so emphatic by 48 runs margin that now they are through to world cup Super Eight stage. England, as they had to, clearly came out with a point to prove having been rightly criticised for their performance against Netherlands on Friday.

Pakistan made their first mistake when they put England into bat after winning the toss in such a pressure game. England team boosted by the return of their star batsman K.Pietersen. He also didn’t disappointed his team mates and smashed 58 runs of just 38 balls to guide his team total to 185/5 in their 20 overs.

Chasing a stiff target Pakistan struggled right from the start as they kept loosing wickets at the regular interval. Only Younis Khan (46 runs of 31 balls) showed some class and sense to stay at the crease for Pakistan but that also was not enough for the team.

Now to make into the Super Eight stage Pakistan have to beat Netherlands in Tuesday game by big margin to go through to the next round.

Luke Wright was declared Man-of-the-Match for his all-round performance both with ball and bat.
