Earlier Rahul Dravid won the toss and elected to bat first on wickets that look to help seamers and it proves right when Scotlanders struggling at 49/4. R.P Singh who has bowled brilliantly against England in Test Series carried his performance here to and picked up two crucial wickets by conceding just 26 runs in his quota of 9 overs.

Ajit Agarkar and Munaf Patel who is making comeback after three months lay off also bowl superbly and taken 2 wicket each. Only Ramesh Pawar was not able to pick a wicket otherwise rest of the Indian Bowlers manage to bag two wickets each.

At one stage Scotland were struggling at 49/4 in the 15^th over but Gavin Hamilton and Neil McCallum played superbly to manage respectable totals in revised 46 overs. They both made 44 and 41 respectively.

When he got out India needed just 11 runs to win and its easily achieved by Indian inning highest scorer Gambhir and Indian Captain Rahul Dravid who hit the winning runs from his bat by hitting John blain for four through fine leg.

After the dismissal performance in the Caribbean World Cup 2007 Indians have Played three ODI series and they have done well beating Bangladesh at their home in May by 2-0, Ireland by 1-0 and South Africa by 2-1 at Belfast in July. Now they have to play one ODI against Scotland and one practice match on Saturday against England Lions before they take on England in seven ODI series which starts from 21^st August.

Forty eight hours earlier their were huge rain at Glasgow but yesterday Glasgow bathed in beautiful sunshine weather and it likely that their will be no rain on Thursday but clouds will be around.

Munaf Patel is returning to the Indian side after three months break and he hasn’t played a single match after he recovers. However unfortunately due to bad weather he was not able to practice on Wednesday.
