The ICC ODI ranking is now so tight that any one could move ahead from here on. If India able to beat Sri Lanka in the last one day international at S.S.C on 8th of February then they will remain just 2 points behind from gaining the number one spot in ODI ranking. On the other hand if New Zealand able to win all the remaining three one day international against Australia then they could move to third spot pushing Australia on fourth position the worst in the history of their last 15 years of cricket. Australia who just manage to save their top ranking in Test cricket with the win against South Africa now in real spot of bother in terms of ranking and they must be looking to win all three remaining matches against New Zealand to regain share the top spot with South Africa. In the ICC Test ranking Australia has 126 points, South Africa at 2nd position with 121 points while India is at three with 118 points. The race for the top one day spot in ICC ranking is getting tight day by day and now it’s good time for India to make most of it by beating Sri Lanka in last one day international to close the gap between them and South Africa. If India manage to gain number 1 ranking then they will be richer by $175,000 on April 1 with the runners-up getting $75,000.
