Rajasthan Royals Vs Chennai Super Kings big Final at Dr. Dy Patil Stadium, Mumbai - IPL twenty20 CUP

With just one game to go, now we can expect a cracker of games between two champions team in the Final of IPL twenty20. Rajasthan Royals will start today’s final as overwhelming favourite but what Chennai Super Kings showed in the last game we can’t predict yet that who will be going to win the 1st IPL twenty20 Cup.

The Chennai Super Kings are making a habit of defying the longest odds. They put in the near perfect performance against the favoured Kings XI Punjab outfit and now have a unit that has the momentum with it. The bowlers ran through a strong batting line up and the batsmen are working towards a common goal. Their skipper though has already experienced enough in the game to not get too far ahead of himself.

The final will be played in Dr DY Patil stadium which is situated outside Mumbai and near about 50000 crowds expected to witness the big clash between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings team is boosted by last minutes exit of dashing left hander Greame Smith who is suffering from hamstring injury. However so far as we have seen in this tournament that the success of Royal didn’t rely on one individuals but they performed as a unit and whenever they were in trouble a new heroes pull off them out of trouble.

Rajasthan are favourites and their confidence will be boosted by their two earlier victories against Chennai. However, after convincingly knocking out the formidable Kings XI Punjab in the semi-finals, Chennai won't be too worried about the underdog status.

Player to Watch

Shane Watson and Yusuf Pathan: Rajasthan Royals have two big match players in their line up and if these two able to repeat their performance of semi finals what they have done against Delhi Daredevils then no one can stop Rajasthan Royals for becoming the 1st IPL twenty20 champion.

Suresh Raina and M.Gony: From Chennai Super Kings Point of view both has performed exceptionally well. Suresh Raina showed through out the tournament that he is big match player with great temperament and can turn the tide in his team favor if he gets going. Manpreet Gony is superb for Chennai Super Kings he bowled superbly in the game yesterday against Kings XI Punjab and his team would be hoping that he repeat his performance in the finals too.

Pitch Report

Dr. DY Patil Stadium is first time used in this tournament and the pitch at this ground has true bounce as we have seen in the previous games and is likely to support the fast bowlers. So team winning the toss would like to bat first and post the big total on the board to gain the advantage in the huge final of IPL twenty20 in front of such huge crowd.

Team News

Chennai Super Kings are unlikely to make any changes to their squad that was played in the semi final against Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand Rajasthan Royals may make one changes by bringing Kamran Akmal the dashing right handed keeper batsman in place of G.Smith who is not fully fit due to hamstring injury. Warne termed the loss of Smith as "huge" but Kamran Akmal's presence softens the blow.

Likely Playing XI for both the teams (Match will start from 20:00 PM India time)

Rajasthan Royals: K.Akmal, S.Asnodhkar, Y.Pathan, S.Watson, Md. Kaif, R.Jadeja, N.Patel, S.Warne (Captain), S.Trivedi, S.Tanvir, M.Patel.

Chennai Super Kings: Parthiv Patel (WK), S Vidyut, Suresh Raina, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (Captain), Chamara Kapugedera, S Badrinath, Albie Morkel, Manpreet Gony, L Balaji, Muttiah Muralitharan, Makhaya Ntini.
