India announced thirty Probable for twenty20 World Cup 2009

Indian selectors on Saturday 4th of April announced list of 30 probable for Twenty20 World Cup to be played in England starting from 5th of June. The noticeable exclusion from the squad is S.Sreesanth, A.Agarkar, P.Chawla and Joginder Sharma.

The Indian Chief Selector also indicated that they will keep eye on each player during IPL twenty20 to be played in South Africa and based on performance they will sit to pick final 15 from the thirty probable announced. The final squad will be announced one month before the tournament that is in the first week of May.

The defending twenty20 World Champions India will start their twenty20 campaign with the game against Bangladesh on 6th of June at Trent Bridge.

Robin Uthappa who was out of action for almost eight months, manage to grab his berth in 30 member squad after brilliant performance in the domestic season. TamilNadu off-spinner R.Ashwin was also picked as a back-up for Harbhajan Singh after superb performance during challengers trophy. Delhi batsman Virat Kohli, West Bengal middle order batsman Manoj Tiwary and Tamil Nadu opener M.Vijay is also included in the squad.
