Indian selector announced 14 man squad for the first two test matches to be played in Chennai and Ahmedabad against the South Africans. South Africa after beating Bangladesh quite comfortable in two match test series as well as ODI’s are high on confidance, so all in all it will be good challenge for the Indians to show why they are at the 2nd position in ICC ranking. Hero of Australia tour Ishant Sharma was not able to make into 14 member squad. The first test will be played in Chennai from March 26 to 30 and the second test in Ahmedabad from April 3 to 7. Leg-spinner Piyush Chawla was named as cover for Harbhajan Singh who will undergo a fitness test on March 21. Gautham Gambhir will feel unlucky to also miss out as he was the leading run scorer in the recent CB Series in Australia, but all-rounder Yuvraj Singh keeps hold of his place. Murali Kartik is in as the third spinner, while Piyush Chawla and Dinesh Karthik are named as reserves in case Dhoni or Harbhajan are ruled out.
